MIX & MATCH: Animal Print

Mixing and matching my clothes are actually my routine whenever I’m choosing my OOTD ‘peg’. I’m fond of having new fashion equations from time to time. My fashion sense goes from

Lazy Sunday’ look – basic top paired with a semi –ripped patched pants

  'Exposed' hanging top from Oxygen
 Sling bag from Prada
Ripped Jeans from Shortcuts Aparrel

to

Milennial Girl’ look – pastel off shoulders crop top paired with a leather above-the-knee skirt and a golden choker.

Leather skirt  from Fudge Rock
Golden choker from Bershka

My OOTD for today is composed of old clothes from my wardrobe that I haven’t used for years.

Fun Fact#1: I only buy new clothes thrice a year – Summer, Semestral Break and Christmas Break!
Yep, that’s TRUE. I’m thrifty and my conscience hunts me whenever I spend too much money on shopping!

Anyway, it kinda bothers me whenever some people say “Animal prints are so 2007!” Well girl, not for me! What I like about animal prints is that they can actually transform you from adventurous to low-key sexy look BUT the aura of being elegant stays.

Adventurous'

Low-key sexy’

My leopard print top basically added a fierce-y yet youthful vibe. Maybe the contrast between light brown and black contributed a lot to the ‘stand-out’ effect. Moreover, the type of top that I wore, spaghetti strap, can make you look sophisticatedly sexy in your own way!

Fun Fact#2: I am the type of person who doesn’t fully depend on articles that say –"There are only specific kind of clothes that you can wear to slay that ‘OOTD’ based on your body type".

Look closely at my look. I wore a white pleated shorts even though it is said that it is not advised to wear such shorts if you have a body type like mine. I tried it and it isn't that bad!

(Note: Wear whatever you want to wear! Impress yourself not us, you are your own judge.)

Denims are baes! Who doesn't love denims anyway? It can work with any season and it can match your ‘summer getaway’ OOTD, formal Sunday dresses, nightlife outfit, formal trousers and the list goes on. In my own opinion, denims give the youthful appeal to an outfit. Probably because they can cover more of your skin but despite that, they balance the formal and casual kind of fashion.

I paired my top with a Denim chaleco to achieve my youthful look. This is the final ingredient for today’s fashion equation.

Animal Print top + Denim chaleco + Pleaded shorts + Quilted bag + Black shoes

That's all for my blog post today! How about you? What do you pair with your animal print top?
