Favorites: MOVIES

Hi there! This blog post should have been posted last week but it was the holy week and I was out for 4 straight days! We went shopping and ran some errands.

I actually made this blog not only to show my love for food and fashion but also to share my favorites and my thoughts. For today, I will share my 5 non-cliché-classic-favorite films among the gazillion movies I have watched.

Japanese Madness: Botejyu

Saturdays are meant for pamper time! For this Saturday, I went to my derma appointment in Vanity: Aesthetics Clinic to attend my monthly session. It was already past 12, my tummy growled as usual.

Fresh Lunch: Pho Hoa's Pho Noodles

It was a tiring Wednesday! My mom and I,with our friends, went to Robinsons Manila to eat for lunch since we were hungry from the medical appointment in our school.

I finally got to satisfy my cravings for Vietnamese food! I’m not a regular customer here in Pho Hoa but whenever I want a tasty broth, this is the first on my list.

Service
The employees were nice and we were properly accommodated.

Ambiance
For me, the ambiance was not that cozy enough for you to fully enjoy a meal. I’m honestly particular about the ambiance of a restaurant but Pho Hoa’s branch in Robinsons Manila was not cozy compared to the other branches like in Greenbelt 1 – where you can feel the aura of a Vietnamese resto or in BGC Stopover Pavillion – where you can see the beauty of the restaurant’s interior.

Food
I ordered Fresh Spring Roll Vegetarian (Php155) for my appetizer. It has minty after taste and I think that’s the thing that makes the dish tastier and unique. The fresh spring roll was made of spring wrap, noodles, carrots, mint leaves and chicken meat. Light and fresh! It also came with the peanut sauce that gave more flavor of the dish.

I also ordered Vietnamese Fish with Yellow Beans (Php 290). This one is actually my favorite besides their noodle pho.  The flavor of the sauce that surrounds the fish is the most real deal in here *drools*. Although this dish is my fave, I think it’s kinda pricey for a 290pesos meal AND I can finish all of it in less than 10 mins with proper moderation of eating *winks*. My thing here is that it could have been less pricey so that this dish can be more known, it can be around 205 pesos to 215 pesos L

My mom ordered Marinated Prawns with Grilled Pork on Rice (Php 345). She is a fan of shrimps and rice so I was not surprised that she ordered this even though the shrimps were just 3 pieces (lol). I tasted the shrimp - it’s tasty and not that bad. The grilled pork has a ‘regular’ taste of what a grilled pork should taste like but THANK GOODNESS for their Vinegar (sauce) it brought the flavor of the pork. The price is not worthy for this dish, I would recommend other restaurants for prawns and grilled food like Shrimp Shack.

Foodie Fact: I am a fan of vinegars. I usually put vinegar on my meals like 80% of the time.

Tita Ana (my mom’s friend) ordered Beef Brisket on Rice (Php 275). I do not eat beef often because it doesn’t go well in my stomach and sometimes it’s too heavy for my tummy. Anyway, their beef brisket is a must try! The soft and salty-sweet beef is not your average kind of meat. The sauce gives more taste and it’s not ‘nakakaumay’! Plus, it is worth the price!

Jack (my friend) ordered Brisket Flank Pho (Php315). This is one of my fave noodle pho here in Pho Hoa. The perfectly boiled noodles in a bowl of beef broth - a match made in heaven! The beef was also tender and the vegetables make the soup yummier. I actually didn’t know that there's a sauce for this noodle soup, so we tried it a while ago and surprisingly, it was 10x tastier. If I were to recommend a dish from this restaurant, this would be definitely the perfect choice!

We went back to school with full tummies! This restaurant is a home of slightly pricey Pho but the taste is so so so so worth the price! Will definitely come back whenever I crave for Pho noodles!
